My big day tomorrow

Friday is a good baby day for me. It must be big because Shawn has even agreed to take the day off work. I am so excited to go to my first OB-GYN appointment tomorrow. I've been told that I will have an ultrasound done to make sure the baby is progessing as it should be, plus it will be my first chance to ask the doctor my list of questions. I've been doing my reading and I now have to start thinking about my birthing plan. It sounds so scary, but it's really not. I already know I am going to try my best to go natural with no epidural, but I'm not ruling it out completely. I know that some women experience numbness in their legs and I so don't like that idea. I'll just have to see how much pain I can take. Or better yet how much pain Shawn can take. Ha ha. I'll write about the doctor visit this weekend.

Good luck on trying not to get an epidural. I tried really hard the first time not to get one, I was in tears & finally my mom said just get it already. I did not get one the second time though & I wanted one as soon as I got to the hospital, but they told me I was too far along & it might slow everything down. I did use my lamas that time & I think it did help a lot!!!!

An epidural will make the experience more enjoyable and less scary....just keep an open mind about it. It doesn't mean you are a wimp if you choose to get an epidural.

I agree about being open-minded, but if you want to go natural-you can do it! I know I might be a little biased-but I believe that if you put your mind to it, you can have it the way you want it
(as long as baby cooperates)! Kristi

It is so true that baby's cooperation is necessary....half my birth plan went out the window because my son didn't want to come out! :)
