It's Monday already?
Where did the weekend go? I'm so excited because Shawn and my dad made it back from Mexico. It was a long week without the hubby around, so I was thrilled when walked in the door at 3:30am on Saturday. I missed him lots. Shawn had an awesome time fishing with Pop. It was good fishing, but more importantly, Shawn loved hanging out with my dad. They really had a great time. You can see Shawn's pics at www.shawnandmarisa.com. Saturday afternoon we headed up to Bakersfield for a wedding. Oh joy. An outdoor wedding in 103 Bakersfield heat is not pregnant girl's ideal way to spend a Saturday. Needless to say, I was miserable. Mike K. and I eventually went and sat in the car to get cooled down with A/C. Poor guy was hating life because he still has his cast on. (Thank goodness it comes off this Tues.) It was fun getting to see our friends though. Sunday after breakfast we headed home only to grab our stuff and run over to hang out with my parents. I had to hear Pop tell all his stories about taking Shawn fishing. Seriously, my dad is the best storyteller. It was fun to hear Shawn and my dad tell us all about the trip. Pop then bbq'd some of their catch, which was mighty tasty. Too bad it's Monday already and Shawn has to go back to work. I know he could use another day or two to recoup.
This week is going to be pretty busy with Arbonne activities, dentist appointment, and house projects. We seriously need to get things prepared for baby at this point. I now have 11 weeks left until my due date, so we've got to get things rolling around this place. We still have quite a bit of stuff to clear out and find room for, so I'll get started on light projects around the house during the week. When mom and Michael were over last week and we were working on the guest room, I realized I can't do as much as I used to, especially once I felt a strange pull in my abdomen. I hate not being able to do everything I want, especially since I'm really not all that big. I just expect to be superwoman as usual. Guess that's out.
I can't believe how packed this weekend is already. Saturday I have an Arbonne training on a boat, then Shawn's boss John is throwing a bbq, which will be fun because his parties always rock. Sunday we have brunch with the Tomlinsons, my parents, and Kristi's parents. Then we're moving boxes and the guest bed to store in Thane and Kristi's garage. Good thing Shawn took a vacation last week because he's got lots of work to do these next couple weekends. We've definitely got to go shopping for a crib once the guest room is cleared out. Let's keep our fingers crossed I can have the nursery ready by the end of August like I want. I refuse to be scrambling in September to get everything ready. I want to enjoy my last couple weeks before Inara arrives, not that I won't enjoy life once she comes, but I know life will forever be changed once those contractions start.
