We have the keys to our new house!
It's official. We are now homeowners!!! AHHHH! I can't explain how excited we are. Yesterday I had butterflies in my stomach all day. Shawn came home early so we could do the walk-through of the house and then head over for the closing. My hands were sweaty and that never happens. When we sat down, I couldn't help but notice the big stacks of papers sitting in front of the title and mortgage reps. Aye carumba! Thank goodness Jen was there to make me feel more at ease. Signing home papers is an experience in itself. So much signing and initially to do. But we did it and without any hand cramps. Then Jen handed me the official key and I totally teared up. We said our good-byes and walked outside. Jen was telling us how much she loved working with us and I totally started balling. I told her this was so huge for us because it was our whole purpose for moving and we made it happen. She started crying too. She helped by changing the subject to Inara. That always makes me happy. Shawn and I then went by the house and walked through it again. We started talking abour where we want to put things. It made this whole experience even more real to walk through the house without Jen. I couldn't be happier with our decision. Yes, it means a huge expense every month, but at least this place is all ours. Thank you soooo very much to everyone who has been super enthusiastic for us, always inquiring about the house. This means so much to me. A special thank you to Sierra who texted me yesterday and said how happy she was for her big sis. That meant so much to me. I have the best friends and family too of course! I love you all and can't wait to show everyone our first house!!! Off to start cleaning and getting the house ready for our move next weekend. I've never been this happy about cleaning before. YAY!

Greg, I'll be sure to take lots of pics as we start moving in and making the place homey. We aren't planning on doing many upgrades right now besides cleaning and moving in. Hopefully the two of us can live with brass fixtures for awhile. Ha ha. To Dave & Jeri, looking forward to see you in Sept too. To my wonderful brother, Mikey, I loved your comment! I can't wait for you to see our new house. Your room reservation is confirmed for Sept!
Congrats on getting the house that you both love and enjoy. We are all excited for you both and can not wait to see more pics of the house as you slowly put things together.
Love you all.
