Baby has a place to sleep

Yesterday I took Shawn to Kids Place Outlet, which I had visited a couple weeks ago. I found a couple crib sets I really liked, so I wanted him to check them out. The store was having a liquidation sale because they are moving, so all their furniture was marked down. Shawn walked around and found the set he really liked, which just so happened to be one of the sets I liked too. Great news is it was on sale for 40% off!!! We ended up getting the crib and dresser combo for under $1000, which is a great deal considering how expensive some of the furniture we've looked at has been. The crib is convertible, so Inara will have this bed set for quite awhile. Also, the dresser has what they call a single drawer "hat." Later we can buy the leg set to convert this single drawer into a nightstand, which I thought was kind of cool. Of course, I had to call my dad to come help us load up the big boxes to bring the furniture home. My dad knows quality furniture and when he and Shawn took the dresser out, he was really impressed with the craftsmanship of the work. I knew then that we had made a great purchase. I had an Arbonne party today, so Shawn and his mom put the crib together and started arranging the nursery. It's slowly coming together, and I couldn't be more excited. We still have to decide what to do with the two spare TVs we have in the house and a couple other odds and end pieces. But for the most part, I can start seeing where we are going to fit everything for baby girl. 9 more weeks to due date!!!

Isn't it crazy how much baby furniture costs? Actually, EVERYTHING for baby is pricey! At least we are done with diapers now...Tyler is potty trained! Yippie!

Holy cow. He's potty trained? That's great news, but it also means that he's growing up. Dang it girl, we've got to get together soon so I can see him. At the rate we're going he'll be in Kinder by the time I see him again.
